Our Services

We advise local governments and businesses across aviation, water, wastewater, transportation, stormwater, and construction. Beyond legal counsel, we help anticipate obstacles and keep stakeholders aligned from planning through completion.

Housing Authority

Caminer Law was awarded a task-based contract to provide legal services in the areas of contracts, legislative, regulatory, and ethics to a large housing authority.

Service Transportation

Caminer Law, LLC provides legal services related to federally funded projects.

Aviation

We provide on-call consulting services to a large airport system providing legislative, regulatory, and procurement advice and counsel. Working as a team member, Caminer Law assists with annual reporting requirements, legislative guides, legislative analyses, and procurement matters.

Across every sector we serve, we bring hands-on experience with federal and state funding programs and regulatory compliance, project management and budget preparation, legislative drafting and review, annual reports, and safety and security planning.

Infrastructure

Water & Utilities

We advise on water issues, permitting, and compliance under state, federal and local laws and regulations, water quantity and quality issues, wastewater, and stormwater management.

We help communities and counties with water issues including planning, regulatory and legislative requirements for alternate water supplies, including three municipalities’ applications and hearings for Lake Michigan Allocation Permits from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and negotiating their path to becoming purchasers with a regional water commission.

Business Certification

Certification as a Minority-, Women-, or Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise opens doors to public contracting opportunities, but the application process is notoriously time-consuming and document-heavy. We handle the paperwork and follow-through to help expedite the certification process.

Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE)
Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE)
Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Certification
DOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification

Chicago PDE Fast Track Process

For non-construction businesses, Chicago allows an attorney to sign a Professional Declaration of Eligibility (PDE) on a client's behalf, cutting months off the standard MBE/WBE certification timeline. With our help, clients have been certified in a fraction of the usual time.

General Counsel & Business Services

We serve as outside general counsel for businesses of every size: reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, addressing personnel and hiring practices, procurement matters, and advising  and counseling to protect business operations.

For Businesses

We help businesses working with local and state agencies navigate every stage of a project, from teaming agreements and proposals through awarded contracts, succession planning, and, when needed, dissolution agreements.

For Individuals

We work with individuals as they start, grow, and eventually wind down a business.  In addition, we help align your estate plan with your business plan, so both are protected as you transition into retirement or beyond.

What people say about us

Irene succeeded in having my company certified as a WBE in less than 6 weeks. I was thrilled, especially since this could have taken much longer. Irene’s understanding and knowledge, attention to details, organizational skills, and the clear way that she explained everything to me made the process so much less daunting.

Julia Bacharach, Founder, Bacharach Consulting, LLC, jbacharach.com

Our family just completed an estate planning process with Irene and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I was continually impressed by Irene’s thoughtful and intentional style of practice. Irene consistently demonstrated the qualities necessary to work effectively with a family engaged in what can be an "uncomfortable" set of conversations: she combines great intellectual aptitude, dedication, organization, warmth and rigor with a commitment to working with people of all backgrounds.

Inspiring trust may be Irene's greatest asset. She is honest. She is passionate. She is discrete. She cares. She is hardworking and is an advocate for the people and the causes in which she believes.
